Panasonic Energy Co., Ltd. is the energy solutions subsidiary of Panasonic Corporation, and the sole manufacturer of Tesla's 2170 cylindrical lithium-ion battery cells at Gigafactory Nevada. A joint venture with Tesla since 2014, Panasonic Energy generates approximately $4 billion in EV cell revenues. The company is building an independent gigafactory in De Soto, Kansas (Panasonic Energy of North America) to supply additional US automakers.
